Bearos017 Glider - They call themselves Glider (7")

Glider is the project of Gavin Baker from British band Billy Mahonie and Pascal Asselin from Canadian band Below the Sea.

This is a truly inter-continental project! Gavin and Pascal had become aware of each other's work and decided to work together even though they were stuck on opposite sides of the Atlantic. The drums were recorded in Canada in September 1999, the guitars in the UK in May 2000. This is the second single from those sessions, the first released by Johnny Kane Records, also in 2001.

The record is dedicated to children and philanthropists:" Look what's ahead Koh" is for Koh Baker, Gavin's nephew, born in June 2000. "Gilles Kègle" is a man from Quebec City, Canada. He gave up his job and became a street nurse, using his money and time to help homeless people.

The pair eventually met in July 2000 when Pascal visited England during a Billy Mahonie tour. They have since recorded an album "With Ocean In-between" whichwas released by the Canadian label Where are my records. There has also been a remix album with contributions from Tarentel, Rothko and Yellow6.

7" single £2.50 (inludes postage in the UK)
